Who we are

What we collect

The search you make (places and dates). If you came from an ad, the ad click id in the link (for example gclid or msclkid), which we keep in your browser for 30 days.

When you search, our server records the time, this site, the ad click id and the KAYAK link, and gives the search a random id that KAYAK reports back to us. We do not ask for your name, email or payment details.

Why

To send your search to KAYAK, to know which ads lead to searches and bookings, and to report bookings to the ad platform you came from (such as Google Ads) so it can measure our ads.

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google's ad and measurement tags.

Who we share it with

KAYAK receives your search and the random search id. Google receives the ad click id and the booking value when a booking is reported. Their privacy policies apply to what they do with it.

How long we keep it

The ad click id stays in your browser for 30 days. Search records on our server are kept for 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you or ask us to delete it at admin@compareshotels.com. You can clear the data in your browser at any time.
